Hello and welcome to Year 6!

We are taught by Mr Oliver, Mrs Graham, Mrs Donkin and Mrs Storey.

Spring term is here and we look forward to new challenges! Our main topic links to the subjects of Science and Geography. In Science, we will be studying Earth/space and forces. In Geography, we will be learning all about location – using latitude/longitude, grid references and maps.

‘Da said men don’t cry’

Our Mini-Police represented the school this weekend at the official unveiling of the new statue in Hetton-Le-Hole to celebrate our mining heritage. The statue is a lasting memorial to our past and a tribute to the men and women who built our coal mining community. Billy, from Year 5, placed our time capsule underground on behalf of our school. Staff are very proud of all the children from Easington Lane Primary who attended this fantastic event.
