Welcome to Year 3!

WOW, where has the time gone ! We can’t quite believe we are in year 3! We have settled into key stage 2 very well and we are enjoying our new topics, especially learning about the ancient Egyptians. Mrs Wardle and Mrs Beattie have promised us lots of exciting lessons and activities so please keep checking out our page to see how much fun we are having !


World book day

Look how fantastic we look in our World book day outfits! The children had so much fun discussing their favourite stories and coming to school dressed up!

World Water week!

On Thursday 22nd March 2018, we celebrated World Water day. During that week, pupils were encouraged to bring their water bottles to school and reflect upon this vital resource which we often take for granted, including the equal or unequal access to water around the world. The pupils had an important assembly to mark the occasion. They listened to stories, acted out key roles and realised how often we take water for granted.

A Farmer’s field

During our ‘Wow week,’ the children got very creative! In Art, they used their imagination’s to create their very our own ‘Farmer’s field.’ They used a range of materials, including dry lentils, pasta and other food which can be found in a Supermarket! Why not have a go yourself?

Creative Fun!

Future All Stars!

Crazy about Cricket!

This week, year 1 had a special visitor! Liam came from Durham County Cricket club came to visit the school and he showed Year 1 some fantastic Cricket skills. The children had lots of fun practising their throwing and catching skills and they thoroughly enjoyed playing with the bat and ball!

Tweddle farm

Gymnastics club
