World Cup Football Frenzy

As part of our WOW week in Year 4, we invited our family members in to school to work alongside us to design our own World Cup football strips. Some of us chose to base our designs on England, some on the teams we picked in our class sweep and some on ourselves. We think they have turned out great! C’mon England!

Bubble Football Bonanza

Year 4 had a fun-filled morning playing bubble football as part of our topic on the World Cup. We rolled, bounced, flipped…some of us spent most of the games upside down! Our smiles, giggles and hair showed how much we enjoyed ourselves!

We aim to provide a lively, creative curriculum to challenge and motivate our pupils and enable them to participate in a range of high quality learning opportunities. The schools excellent facilities enhance the quality of our children’s education. We have recently extended our building and increased our outdoor facilities further, this has enhanced the opportunities that we can provide our children (although we are always seeking to make them even better).  However our greatest resource is our skilled and dedicated staff who work tirelessly to provide the best teaching and learning experience for each child.

We want our pupils to enjoy coming to school and to be enthusiastic about learning. We will nurture and encourage pupils and hopefully, inspire them to be active participants in their own development and education.

We expect high standards of behaviour from all of our pupils, and ask parents to work with us in ensuring our children fulfil their potential.  We are an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school and you can read our most recent inspection report here.  We are a school that continues to strive for improvement and recently worked with an external body to complete a Whole School Review in May 2017.  To read the findings form this review click the link below.

World Water week!

On Thursday 22nd March 2018, we celebrated World Water day. During that week, pupils were encouraged to bring their water bottles to school and reflect upon this vital resource which we often take for granted, including the equal or unequal access to water around the world. The pupils had an important assembly to mark the occasion. They listened to stories, acted out key roles and realised how often we take water for granted.
