Welcome to Easington Lane Primary School
We are a mainstream primary school committed to inclusive education and meeting the needs of all the children in our care.
We aim to provide a lively, creative curriculum to challenge and motivate our pupils and enable them to participate in a range of high quality learning opportunities. The schools excellent facilities enhance the quality of our children’s education. We have recently extended our building and increased our outdoor facilities further, this has enhanced the opportunities that we can provide our children (although we are always seeking to make them even better). However our greatest resource is our skilled and dedicated staff who work tirelessly to provide the best teaching and learning experience for each child.
We want our pupils to enjoy coming to school and to be enthusiastic about learning. We will nurture and encourage pupils and hopefully, inspire them to be active participants in their own development and education.
We expect high standards of behaviour from all of our pupils, and ask parents to work with us in ensuring our children fulfil their potential. We are an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school and you can read our most recent inspection report here. We are a school that continues to strive for improvement and recently worked with an external body to complete a Whole School Review in May 2017. We hope Easington Lane Primary School enjoys a long and successful working relationship with you and your child.

We are writing our myths! After reading Ancient Greek myths such as Icarus, King Midas and the Golden Touch, Medusa and the Quest of Perseus and Orpheus and Eurydice, we’ve started to write our own myths including mythical creatures, magical objects, heroes and heroines and gods and goddesses. Mrs Wardle can’t wait to read them.
Class 1DS worked in teams and programmed Bee-Bot robots to help us learn about directions - we are trying hard to know left from...
6LG have been learning about biographies in Literacy. We read the biographies of many famous people including Roald Dahl and Usain Bolt. We then wrote the biography of Andy Warhol who we have been learning about in History and Art.
Thank you to everyone who supported the Royal British Legion this week by buying poppies, badges and wristbands. A big thanks also goes to the children who attended and took part in the remembrance service at St Michael’s church on Sunday; you represented our school so well.
The children in nursery talked about why we wear a poppy at this time of year. We used our cutting skills to make a poppy wreath to hang on the nursery door for Remembrance day.
