Class 7Miss Goldsmith
Welcome to class 7
Class 7 have been having a brilliant time this year and we are so excited about the upcoming challenge of SATs. We can’t wait to show everyone just how much we’ve learned.
Our class have so much planned for the summer term including learning about the Mayan Empire in History, Sports Day and preparing for our Year 6 leaver’s assembly.
We can’t believe it’s nearly time to go but we are so excited about the adventure we have ahead of us as we prepare to start Secondary School.
Year 6 celebrated the end of SATs this week with a delicious buffet lunch! Well done everyone! We’re all so proud of you!
Year 6 have been having great fun dancing this week. We can’t wait to show everyone our moves at our upcoming leavers assembly.
We had some ‘egg-cellent’ entries for our Easter egg competition this year. Here are our proud winners with their designs. Well done to everyone who joined in the fun!
Class 7 had great fun raising money for comic relief today. Check out some of our pictures.
We have been lucky enough to have cycling training this week. It’s been great fun learning how to ride our bikes safely both in school and out of school. One of the most important things we learned this week was to always wear a helmet when riding. It could save your life!
Our Year 5s and 6s have been taking part in a competition to design posters encouraging people to care for their environment and keep Britain tidy. Our local councillors and staff from Groundworks came into school to present the winners with their posters and certificates. Well done to all of our children for taking part!
Here are our winners from each class for the best dressed book character for World Book Day! They each got to choose a book of their choice from the book fair. Well done!
Class 7 really got into the spirit of World Book Day this year. Do you recognise any characters from your favourite books in our photographs?
On Wednesday 1st March, KS2 took part in a fantastic ‘Reading Breakfast’ where we were joined by members of our family to share our love of reading. We read our books, answered challenge cards and enjoyed drinks and snacks too!
Reverend Anne visited our class this week to set us a challenge. We discussed new life and she set us the task of producing some new life artwork. We have the chance to have our work displayed at the Hetton Centre.
Class 7 have been so lucky to have the Bishop, Reverend Anne and several trainee reverends visit our class. We had a discussion about what it means to be a Christian and we got the chance to ask and help each other answer, lots of questions about faith and what Christians believe.
We have been experimenting with coding this week in ICT to design, write and debug programs that accomplish specific goals to control or simulate physical systems.
