Hello and welcome to class 5RO!

We are taught by Mr Oliver, Mrs Graham, Mrs Donkin and Mrs Storey.

Spring term is here and we look forward to new challenges! Our main topic links to the subjects of Science and Geography. In Science, we will be studying Earth/space and forces. In Geography, we will be learning all about location – using latitude/longitude, grid references and maps.

Bridge Building Challenge!

Class 5RO are working hard to learn new Geography skills with regard to locating a place. They now understand how to use lines of longitude/latitude and are currently working on using atlases to identify countries, rivers, cities etc on a worldwide basis. Bin the Sat...

We will remember them…

To commemorate the centenary of the First World War, some of Year 6 children took part in our local Church service and our Mini Police children from Year 5 joined them in marching with the local community and laying wreathes on behalf of our school. It was an extremely moving service and we are very proud of all of the children involved.

Fa la la la la la la la la!

This week, some our amazing singers from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 were joined by Tim West from Sun FM to record some verses for a special Christmas song. We recorded verses for 22 days to go… and 11 days to go… so you will soon be able to hear our children on Sun FM radio. We should be played on the 3rd December and the 14th of December. Keep yours ears open…
