Year 5 visited Rainton Meadows Nature Reserve this week to take part in activities linked to their learning in Science. During the pond dipping activity, the children used nets to carefully catch examples of the pond-life and identify it using a chart. They found water snails, tadpoles, water bugs but sadly no water scorpion! Other activities included a mini-beast hunt and a nature walk. The children behaved very well and it was commented on how much they remembered. Well done year 5!
