On Tuesday, Year 6 visited Eden Camp in North Yorkshire. The Camp is an interactive World War 2 history museum which is situated in the buildings and grounds of an original World War 2 Prisoner of War Camp. Inside, the children were able to experience the sights, sounds and even the smells of the home front and the front line during the war. Among many things, they found out what life was like during the Blitz, looked at a recreation of a street in Britain at war and even got to sing along to some favourites from the forties in the music hall. What a fantastic day!
Today, our class had an amazing WOW morning in school too. Thanks to all of the parents who came into school today to listen to the children singing songs from World War 2, try some fresh bread and butter pudding and help with our art work!
