Year 5 are learning a lot about plants at the moment and that includes the benefits of eating them! The children picked from a range of healthy ingredients to prepare a summer salad for everyone to enjoy. Some of the ingredients were: rocket, spinach, lettuce (grown by the class!), mustard (also grown by the class!), olives, tomatoes and cucumber. The children then selected a salad dressing to to take their produce to the next level! These were balsamic vinaigrette, lemon and thyme, or classic ceasar. Mmm – very tasty!
