Little legs children had a wonderful time during our messy play session this week.
Messy play contributes greatly to the development of each child’s cognitive and creative abilities. During this play we allowed the children to explore their senses by providing them with the opportunity to use their bodies to pour, mix and squelch paint in a way that is not usually available to them. Also by them not having to produce something in particular, left them all free to explore all sorts of possibilities like; painting onto paper, themselves and their friends which they all found extremely funny. It also stimulated their curiosity about the world around them and provided them all with the urge to experiment.
In short, the benefits that messy play brings to a child’s development are extensive but don’t just take my word for it. Here are a just a few pictures of them all having a great time!
